Rosehip oil is cold expeller pressed.  It is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.  It has natural anti-oxidant properties and helps to improve skin elasticity and resiliencey.  Rosehip oil encourages skin cells to regenerate, slowing the skin's aging process, reducing the formation of wrinkles and diminishing scarring.  Rosehip oil is ideal for anti-aging formulations or products designed to treat damaged skin.

The inci name for the Rosehip oil used by Salon Naturals is somewhat confusing.  Rosa mosqueta is the common term used to describe rosehip seed oil made from a blend of 3 distinct varieties of rosehips: Rosa canina, Rosa rubiginosa and Rosa moschate.  However, the inci name of this blend is Rosa canina because that oil is present in the blend at the highest concentration. As such, the ingredient labels of Salon Naturals' products that contain this ingredient lists it as "Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil."  It is, however, commonly familiar as Rosa Mosqueta (Rosehip) Fruit Oil.
