WHO SHOULD USE THIS?
This hand sanitizer relies on organic grain alcohol as the active ingredient and will effectively kill 99.99% of germs. Although the alcohol in Salon Naturals' hand sanitizer is considered milder than many other alcohols, it can be sensitizing. Hand sanitizer should be used only when traditional hand washing with water is not an option. In those situations, we encourage you to choose a formula that includes hydrating, nourishing ingredients that will soothe & replenish the skin.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Keeping hands clean and germ free is important - even when water and hand wash aren't available. For those occasions, an effective hand sanitizer can be an excellent option. Salon Naturals' hand sanitizer is made with organic grain alcohol.  Although this ingredient is considered a "low hazard" by the Environmental Working Group, we feel strongly that it should be used only occasionally and encourage traditional hand washing whenever possible.

Because ethanol can deplete skin of essential oils and nutrients, Salon Naturals' Hand Sanitizer is fortified with nourishing, organic Aloe Vera Juice and moisturizing Sweet Almond Oleosomes. These ingredients will counter some of the drying and stripping effects caused by the active ingredient. Following use, your hands will feel much softer, smoother and hydrated than what is typically experienced with other hand sanitizers. Occasional use should not result in significant or long-term skin concerns.

On days when it is necessary to use hand sanitizer, we recommend thoroughly washing and moisturizing hands as soon as possible following use. This will remove any residual alcohol from the surface of your hands and will also aid in replenishing and rebalancing the skin.
